I read it as a 4th grader, laughed so hard that my nose bled- all over the book, so my mom had to buy it from the school library! I read it over and over and plan to get a copy of it right now! If I remember correctly, the first kitty they got was Sugiah, then she had Solomon and his sister, and a pair of brothers. Doreen Tovey's skill in relating the hilarious true stories about the Siamese cats that they raised, in her beautiful British prose, made for an amazing read that I've never forgotten, though I'm 60 now! I'm very excited by finding out now, that Doreen Tovey wrote several books about their cats and Donkeys too! I can't wait to read them. I highly recommend that if you love kitties and you love to laugh, these are the books for you!
