I watched so many horrer movies I grown desensitized by them, but this movie, truly horrified me the first time I watched it. First of all, the thing creature is very disturbing for a multitude of reasons; A perversion to human nature (any for that matter), hides in plain sight, grotesque, watches you and sizes up the situation while perfectly acting like humans, all it takes is one touch for you to get assimilated. The element that I love is the usage of paranoia, although the monster did kill, paranoia killed atleast 2 people in the movie. And don’t forget that you truly can’t grow desensitized from the monster, mainly because of its ability to shapeshift. Overall, if you want to feel scared, this is your movie.
