First hour very good. Second hour atrocious pointless melodrama. Bernstein was famous for his music, not the strife in his life. The music and how it was created gets lost as the movie dwells on his shortcomings instead of his art and genius. A bad soap opera. Good performance by Cooper. His script had moments, good and bad. This should have been much better. Bernstein deserved better.
