What is rational or irrational when you're sleeping in a Khyam igloo in the wind?
I just finished reading #InSatNavWeTrust. It's a travelogue of a journey around England.
As a SiFiM&M buff I don’t usually go for real (what is real?) life (what is life?) accounts like this travelogue but after reading it and enjoying it, I’m reconsidering.
At first I thought the book was somewhat boring but I soon realised that, from the start, the book reflects perfectly first the initial period of adjustment that such a journey inevitably involves and then the fun and adventures encountered. In fact it gets quite exiting at times.
Jack Barrow took me through his journey, not just the places he visited, in a very honest, insightful and inimitably witty way. His thought processes are clear, applying various religious, philosophical and scientific concepts to everyday life and his adventures. His reasoning explore differing points of view without lingering and without conclusions - I felt stimulated to reflect on his arguments and free to make up my own mind.
I highly recommend #InSatNavWeTrust.
