This movie was GREAT. We needed some more darker tones in the SSU and Jared Leto did an incredible job at taking on that role and giving us the first live-action Morbius. Unfortunately, this is facing the same situation as TASM movies (which everyone now praises) and is being torn apart by critics and even “fans” who don’t understand and/or aren’t vey familiar with this character. However, it truly felt like a perfect origin story. I especially enjoyed that it was its own film and didn’t feel the need to rely on any other characters from previous films in order to hold it’s own. It focused solely on Morbius and his story. Even the cinematography was incredible (which you arguably don’t get very often in a Marvel film). Solid movie. Morbius is dark, interesting, funny, and definitely worth watching.
