Definetly deserved its oscar win. An amazing film to say the least but the dog is incredible, he is always stealing the show. Everytime you thinks its gonna go one way it smoothly subverts your expectations, a true masterpiece of its time.

Hotel Chevalier is the prequel to Wes Andersons, The Darjeeling Limited. When renting the movie on vudu, the short does not play before the movie. So it was very strange for Natalie Portman to show up out of nowhere in The Darjeeling Limited. now i know why. It feels like this could've just been part of like an extended version or something of that kind and doesn't leave as good a feeling without knowing what happens next in Jack Whitmans story when you watch without the film. It was still very decent and had more depth to it than the movie. This proves that Wes Anderson loves everything he creates with all of his heart.

What do I even need to say if you have not watched it yet, just go. I don't even care where you see it just watch this movie.
