While Will Smith’s genie was great, I believe Jafar was so terribly portrayed. He wasn’t as evil as the original Jafar we know and love, and he didn’t look the part either. There was no “Jafar Jafar, he’s our man, if he can’t do it, GREAT!”. Many iconic moments and scenes were changed, and while it was overall beautifully filmed, I’m sad this generation is growing up with this Aladdin.
