I have never written a movie review, but after reading numerous glowing reviews I needed to give my 2 cents. This movie is so far out of the realm of possibility it makes Star Wars look realistic. The premise is that an Italian American family in the 21st century would rather have one of their family members lay tile than take up the opportunity to play D1 college basketball on a scholarship. Outdated Italian American stereotypes are rampant in this film, and the language is foul. It is as if you told a hillbilly to write a movie after watching Goodfellas 37 times. Overall the message of the movie is "Dad's Suck". Ray Romano's character is a royal f up who can't seem to do anything right. All he really wants is to give his son the opportunity to get an education, but his family is anything but supportive. The son ends up declining the scholarship to do stand up poetry at a community college because of his anxiety or something. See this movie if you want to watch a train wreck to feel better about your miserable life.
