Oh dear it's rubbish on so many levels. What film-maker in their right mind introduces their film with such an unpleasant noise? We're supposed to associate the noise with the plant but it just makes you want it to stop - a feeling that continues for the rest of the film. Visually it has the same jarring quality with most of the scenes presented in the stark white and green lab with the violent pink Little Joe plants. And why did the nice blue flowers at the start of the film die? Because all of the characters' relationships are fractured no one connects with anyone else so there's virtually no drama at all. Maybe the violent noise and colour schemes are meant to provide the drama, in which case why torture us by hiring decent actors then not allow them to act? Oh dear oh dear.
