First, I wish I understood the spoken language of this wonderful film! Not because I have to read English subtitles by ANY means!! For "ME" it would lose a percentage of the comedy along with nostalgia without the subtitles in English. I mean, come on, was this made in 1930 or 2020? That's part of the beauty! And, it is beautiful!!! NO! I want to understand the native language only to be more amused by the translation. Clearly the two spoken dialects could never translate so perfectly and comedic by accident. I forward my deepest appreciation to the person or persons whom basically re-wrote the movie in its entirety but, managed to make it still hilarious, heart warming and so realistic! Lol Although by design...it makes me no less warm and happy inside!! Second, what tugs at my heartstrings is the depth bestowed within this coming of age "actionama" film. Not only does this young boy evolve into manhood...he does so by trial and error, drive and motivation, love, honor and fear...he gets the girl in the end too! A true love story! But wait! That's not all!! The real deep seeded love story so quantity hidden in this epic film is the way people come together in times of need! The honor! The morals! The pure love for one another!! The upmost...you get it... I would join their clan in a heartbeat given the opportunity! What it must feel like to live your life as yourself while knowing no matter what happens in life...your people have your back.
