This is a very very good film one of the best films in the last 30 years . It's not comfortable to watch because it's impossible to identify with anybody in the film in as much as none of them have any merits; it is creepy , odd disturbing ,very frightening satirical and funny Oddly enough after all of that it is heartbreaking as well.You might not think a film could have all these different facets but just see it and you'll know what I mean. By the way I've never seen a film where one actor as the such a whole weight of responsibility on his shoulders as in this one and Christian Bale does it wonderfully

I found it rather claustrophobic

Has to be quite high up in a list of best films ever made not surprising given its director who had a stellar career. So well made, no nonsense and distractions that you get in post Connery Bond films Gripping brutal, deadly serious all the way through The film runs like a novel that you can't put down and want to read all the way through there is no flagging at all.the final scenes in central Paris are extremely tense and not for those of a hey nervous disposition. I particularly like the scenes at the end in the centre of Paris fantastically well done where the drama is mixed with real life scenes of military parade in Paris documentary style

Crude Western propaganda written by ex public schoolboys merely regurgitating the propaganda that they had imbibed from other British establishment writers and influencers . It doesn't rise to the level of satire but is mere slapstick
