The whole story was moving. Toward the end the movie brought me to tears. If woman endured such pain during this era then I'm glad I didn't experience this. They certainly were treated as slaves and second class citizens plus experienced physical abuse from others. How sad to say the least. I didn't like the part with the lesbian encounter. It seemed odd and didn't fit in with the story line. I would definitely see this picture again.
