Lisa Stevens

The actors alone, Murray, Jones & Wayans, are the only reason I can go as high as 3 stars. It was written like a middle school attempt at a mystery novel, far more than a rom com. Was it supposed to be a rom com? It wasn't. It was just sort of there. No real label can be put to it. No true film climax. I feel like Murray was stifled where he is typically known for his breakout adlibbed moments. I'm sure there was some of that there because it was the only time I half chuckled.

I was totally shocked at the depth of this movie. Viola Davis always knocks it out of the park but Jim Gaffigan was surprisingly amazing! An all around feel good family movie.
