The premise is a huge potential if done right (4 powerless MC against a supervillain, the struggle of the century) but they messed it up by undercooking everything. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD* PLOT There's so many plothole, scenes that does not make sense, story progression that defied logic. The prime example is the villain starting a chase for the character because of a dream (? ?). How the three teens just conveniently have no parent figures for Cassie to drop them off? Or the 1 week Peru timejump that sucked out the tension. The villain has like citywide surveillance and could not find three teens hiding in a neighbourhood, seriously? Plotlines lacked coherence. And half the time it's just meaningless chases that served no purpose. CHARACTER Sigh. The villain is terribly done. Like he's so op early with how he trashed a team of cops and got ended by a falling sign by the end of the movie. And that he doesn't have a brain. The dialogues inconsistent and unrealistic, characters underdeveloped (even the trio) that there's no OMG she's in danger! When they were threatened. Most of the supporting character is there for plot convenience and they do nothing else. VISUAL Not an expert in this but there's nothing remarkable on the film's visual. Even the CGI looked funny (atleast it did for me). Again this is a movie of wasted potential. It failed to deliver due to the poor execution of every aspects. But I did managed to finish the movie hence the 2stars. It's so frustrating how they butchered the premise with sloppy work.

It looks to be an intriguing watch at first, but after the first half everything went south. There's shock factor, but ummh there's so many questionable direction of the story. Like is Yusof death necessary? Like he got slain and the perp went to do what he set out to do??? There's also the weird thing of the main character being too unlikable (like major rude biash) that by the time everything got explained, you hardly felt sympathy for that character. That's the plot problem. Acting is a bit stilted, the dialogues also felt weird and disjointed. And characterization is poor you cannot relate to the character. This is one of the movie that has potential but falls flat due to poor execution. The plot point could have worked but they ruined it with illogical decision. Again, Yusof. Maybe if you have time to waste, watch it. Otherwise, go find other horror movies that doesn't disappoint.

Scream 6 is AMAZING. They did not JOKE about bringing the violence to the next level. I have to shield my eye at certain points of the movie or jump around because it was so intense. The set pieces were made well. And the chase scenes. Chef's kiss. Melissa and Jenna along with the other casts. They really improved ALOT. If in Scream 5, you could say their performance was missing something, in this one they slayed their roles. Storyline is solid with twist that you probably won't see coming. Once everything is revealed, everything made sense. Go and watch it. You won't be disappointed. And for me the rating is probably suited for 18+ above (or 15 with PG... maybe?) because it is way too gory.
