ATTENTION!! Spoilers Below! It's a strong cast, but a bit of build up some may not like. It is a deeply disturbing look at being a religious zealot & how, regardless of intention, conditioning can look a LOT like abuse. However the creepiest aspect of this entire film is the fact that the Dad was right. Some actually don't recognize that eerie fact because they are dumbstruck by every other thing up til that point. A refreshing twist & a very disconcerting end to an intense film.

I was very excited about this show and I am enjoying it but, this show is a slow burn. There are plenty of surprises that break away from known tropes & the cast is strong. However, the love interest seemed forced & the simplistic, and downright stupidity of the main character is, sometimes hard to swallow. And the snail-like pacing of a show advertised as exciting is a bit of a mislead. Overall, I liked it. I just wonder if a strong finish is enough to warrant future seasons. But I guess only God, knows...
