Absolutely loved this book. An honest, moving, and often humorous memoir of Judge Tatel’s distinguished legal career and his eventual acceptance of his blindness. He is a true civil rights hero concerned that the legal system is no longer protecting the rights, especially the right to vote, to which he devoted his career.

Loved this book. Beautifully told story of how one lawyer from North Dakota orchestrated a nationwide class action against the U.S. Department of Agriculture challenging illegal farm foreclosures during the farm crisis of the 1980s. Vogel’s description of the struggles her clients faced and the government’s indifference to their pain was, for me, a page turner.
