As far as remakes go, this one isnt the worst. But albeit, the original was way better. This one almost goes out of it's way to not explain what is going on, so if you havent read the book/ watched the original, I think it would be a little hard to keep up with some inner plots though the larger plot with the spice is definitely easy to get. They do not have Jessica having Paul as love for Leto, but rather out of arrogance in this remake. They only slightly touch base with who he is. All the actors did a great job with their parts, but with no offense to the kid playing Paul, he is almost unbelievable as the most perfect human being with him being so little and emotional. Which he can't help the emotional part, that's how his character is written here. I feel like the rushed the fathers part, didnt really show him being the caring leader that he is. But again, not the worst remake.
