To be honest, this one will float around my brains for a bit!
I love this book, the whole thing. Everything had a meaning, really I didn't see it coming. The book leaves an aura behind of mystery, and leaves you wide-eyed
I found the map at the front extremally helpful as it helped me picture the thought and perspective of the main character, so I'd recommend using that.
A traumatized family with little hope glued a bit together after the simulations loss of their children, again prior of their generational trauma and fear of loosing the "Sinclair" status.
Part of me was left thinking about the fate of the island, they were brought together, but at what cost?
The confusing way she found the destiny of her own life, as well as her lifelong familiars. You can't help but feel sorry for them. She fell into a deep trap, something you can't get passed or move from, I relate to that- that can make it an emotional roller-coaster.
The aftermath of the whole ordeal was tough to process but, personally I don't make out Cady to be the "bad guy" and I sympathize with her a bit, her heartbreak, the stress, guilt.
Overall I was left with a faint wave of melancholy, and still do thinking about this book. Books like these make me eccentrically happy to read tragedies!
