I felt like Aquaman was a big step up from the dark and broody phase and entered a light fun humour situation. Superheroes are for kids that's their Target so Aquaman was kid consumable unlike the dark Knight. Auther is humourous hero that's full of himself so don't compare him to Thor or Avatar.
