I really loved Shadow and Bone, not just the first book, but the whole series was very captivating. First off, this book was recommended to me by a friend, and I read the excerpt on Kindle, but I purchased the whole series from Barnes and Nobles. I think I finished all three books in one month, and absolutely adored all three. The plot twist in the last novel literally had me REELING. There are only two things about this book I did not like, first of which is the insufficiency of Mal's character and what a JERK he was to Alina in the first book when they saw each other again. The fact that she chose him in the end really irked me, not to mention (spoiler ahead!) he KISSED Zoya right in front of Alina and expected her to forgive him. (THen literally DrOwNs himself in alcohol afterward). I would have been REALLY happy if Alina reigned with the Darkling as a dark queen, or even ended up with Nikolai, who offered her a chance to be happy AND powerful with him at the same time. Second, the Darkling's character was TOO good. (Everything in the second reason is literally a compliment.) He was brilliant, powerful, wicked, and wonderfully twisted at the same time (more spoilers, sorry) and I DIED when Alina stabs him in the last book.

I absolutely LOVED this book. This series is the most captivating I've EVER read and I expect nothing less from the amazing author that is Holly Black. The story starts off with Cardan going to the mortal world after he turns back into a human. This isn't one story, but a more detailed look into why some things in the story happen the way they do or why they happen at all. For example, does anyone remember that in the first book Jude briefly mentioned that Cardan had come marching into class on a horse? Well, we find out why in HTKoELtHS (How the King of Elfhame learned to hate stories). But the reason I gave a four and not a five is because the book was a bit short compared to the others and there were a few things left unexplained like how Cardan felt when Jude was in the Undersea, or how he felt when he exiled her, or what happened with him and Nicasia after Jude left. Also, the drawings were SO on point! I absolutely loved them. The cover is AMAZING. Cardan looks so... absorbed in his book, and Jude looks like she wants to stab someone. Holly recognizes talent. <33.

I absolutely love this book so much! It was a beautifully written standalone, and I adored it. Alessandra's character is so strong and independent, it was truly inspiring. Her growth throughout the book was amazing, and the concept of Kallias's abilities and the name of the book fit SO well together! (Kallius, WOW I love that name.) The plot and Alessandra's wicked plan were so delicious. I DEVOURED this book in less than two, maybe three days. And that plot twist in the END?! I was NOT expecting that. I recommended this book to literally ALL of my friends and they also loved Alessandra's character as well. I've read one or two of Tricia Levenseller's books before, but this is definitely my favorite, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

I have to say Holly Black is the Ultimate Fae Writer! I loved this book and literally everything about it. There are so many twists and turns, bloodthirsty betrayal, magic, and even with all that, there is romance! This book is perfect, but I do have to warn you, Jude isn't really open with her feelings even though the book was written in her point of view. Other wise, it was splendid!

Beautifully written! I could not put this book down and finished it in a matter of two days. Everything was absolutely shocking and unpredictable, and I loved every second of it. There were so many well-added plot twists, which were ridiculously unpredictable. Jennifer Lynn Barnes is a wonderful author and I highly recommend all her books, not just this one.

This book was EVERYTHING. I don't know why it's so underrated and I don't see people recommending it, because it is SO good. I cried three or four times throughout the whole book, and I'm a pretty hardcore person. The sad part about this story is that is so true and that there are so many parents out there that believe the same thing Evan's mom does. The mental trauma this boy goes through in this story is absolutely heart-wrenching. I honestly felt like slapping Evan's mother multiple parts through the story. So, if you want to take a good cry and can take child abuse stories, this is the book for you.

This book is absolutely wonderful! I read this book while in Middle School and finished the series in less than two months! The story line was awesome, and I've never heard such interesting names! It felt like the author put a lot of work into Red Queen, and it obviously shows! Victoria should be proud! Although I do have to admit, it does get a bit cheesy sometimes, it is SUPER romantic and fantastical. Again I highly recommend it!
