Highly anticipated TTPD felt a little messy in its lyrics, a little too sonically familiar and, well, this is not a mandatory requirement from any album but, a little less catchy.
Queen Swift felt a bit unsure about her recent past and her special writing sauce - lyrical imagery - wasn't as vivid and emotion generating as in her last, what, 10 records! I feel like, this album was an unnecessary addition to her discography. Maybe she needed to write this album for herself but not share it with the world?! - Just a thought.
This is not to say that TTPD is a bad album, no, absolutely not. I'm repeating Fortnight (though I'd have liked a little more of Postin the song), Florida and Loml in a loop. I gave the album a 3-star for I don't have the option to give it a 3.8-star rating.
