The Earth Family Smith , by Chun-Tien Leung was a book I could not put down. I really enjoyed how the author was very descriptive with the world that smith children landed on. Even though it was hard to understand the made up words and names. I still was able to just make up my own names and understand what was being told to me. I don't care for politics because I don't understand it but the way the author chose to use it in this story, really made me understand the small things that's going on in society around us. I somewhat enjoyed the little lesson I got while still feeling like I was apart of the story.
I thought the book ended quickly. It was very abrupt and could have had more of closing ending. I guess that makes way for the next book in its series.
There was a lot about politics in this book and I really enjoyed the satirical message the same way I enjoy reading political cartoons. The humor may not be for everyone but they are biting.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend this book for anyone who loves scifi. I really enjoyed of how it reminded me of my survival games, like ARK: Survival Evolved being stranded on a new plant and biome and having to fend for yourself to survive. Anyone who is into that kind of science or learning about new planetary things. I would not recommend this book to people who hate politics, I do not think they will get to the halfway mark of the book without being upset and turned off.
