This movie won me over when I first saw it in 1979, when I recorded it from a TV special.
It is a must see every year for me as it is very believable if you know anything about the depression and New England (filmed in Canada) during those times. Henry Winkler does a great job transitioning from a :scrooge" to a beneficial character.
