Some of you have a really difficult time coming to terms with things and it shows. The movie was good, I found it relatable and honest. I get that people want to maintain this certain reputation of Persians and Islam but I really didn't see anything that I don't see in real life from Persian and Non Persian families. Infidelity, childhood traumas of being the responsible child, a little identity crisis of being a different culture growing up in America. You super offended fake pious people have really got your panties in a bunch over this movie and I saw nothing wrong with it. I bet you're the judgmental gossip filled aunty or uncle that ruins the family dynamic in real life but hey that's just speculation :) Good for you Maryam!!
