This film was truly disappointing and lacked any real substance. There’s no clear character development and frankly it is downright boring as Laura Dern’s character constantly preaches she has to work. Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth are wonderful actors and even they couldn’t revive this stale and contrived story. What’s ironic is the story actually begins at the ending it brings a lot of story potential for future hurdles. Yet it just ends. It seems Netflix hastily put this together and it shows. There is no content here and Netflix should put more time and context into their content. It’s a subpar Hallmark Channel movie without the humor and bright colors.
