This is one of the best books I have read on psychoanalytic theory of neurosis. It is precise, insightful, scholarly but very easy to read. Illustrated with the help of innumerable clinical vignettes, it helps the reader acquire a clarity which is difficult to obtain otherwise. I recommend this book to every student and teacher and trainee in psychoanalysis.

It is really very comprehensive text book - very iseful for students and teachers. Written in simple language it explains very difficult concepts in a veri comprehensible way.
