Arcade ghost

Follows the original to a T with a few minor changes this film is more of an upgrade and combines 3 of the original films into one. The only drawback is over use of jump scares but horror films 2009-2013 were all using them. There's some good gore and when the wolfman shows up its over the top violence is almost comedic so when characters we want to see die it doesn't come off scary its treated like a joke. And the wolfmans design is ridiculous but they had to do what they could to keep the design of the original but they should of went full out werewolf with the face really make him scary but he looks like Chewbacca and its hard to unsee. Don't get me wrong this is still a great film to watch but I say watch it twice then move on

To be honest I was expecting it to be a bad film but I found myself actually having fun with it. Its by no means a high art film but you could feel the love dedication and care put into the movie. Fans will like this more than most there's easter eggs sprinkled through out Sonics career comics games cartoons so many it was hard to keep track of. Its plot is simple and it can make jabs at it which I liked. Not for everyone but as for videogame films go its steller

Its a faithful adaptation despite taking a few liberties and omiting some legacy characters but there's some easter eggs and plenty of fan service. It balances the seriousness with the absurd. While the original will be a goofy classic I think this films tone captures the tone of the games more fittingly.
