Disappointing and Misguided Advice
After hearing this woman on the radio and feeling aggravated when she speaking of this book, I had to see what it was actually about.
"Girl, Stop Apologizing" by Rachel Hollis is a disappointing read. The author's premise that women should stop saying sorry as a way to empower themselves is Misguided. Apologizing when necessary is a basic courtesy and demonstrates humility and respect. Encouraging women to stop apologizing entirely could contribute to more rudeness in the world, which is the last thing we need.
Being polite and saying sorry when appropriate shows maturity and strength. This book misses the mark on promoting genuine empowerment.
Be polite, say sorry!! We need more niceness in this world and less of her.
