Sorry but I persevered with the first episode and struggled. If anyone has a few hearing issues this was a nightmare. All I heard was the 'hum' and no dialogue. It became impossible to carry on viewing.

Series two was absolutely brilliant. The characters, the storyline and the drama were all there. Such a relief after all the mediocre stuff around at the moment. Can't wait for a third series.

Well I haven't had a good laugh at a TV programme for a long time so I thank everyone involved for that. Not sure what Channel 5 are doing other than provide airtime for new writers, directors etc. It became a guessing game in our household and we settled on Neil Morrissey after ep2. Yes we did persevere til the end and the scene of Neil with a nail through his head and an iron bar through his chest was hilarious. Thank you Channel 5 for some light relief in these uncertain times.

Well that's 6 hours of my life that I won't get back. I kept watching hoping that it would improve but it was so dreadful to the point of being laughable. Everything was so drawn out and became less and less plausible.

After getting to the end of episode 4 last night I still cannot decide whether I'm enjoying this or not. I'm usually certain but with this drama sometimes I'm bored, very often confused or just plain OK. I don't look forward to it each week and would sooner have binge-watched it to get it over with. I am pleased it's not a formularic detective series so do thank them for trying.

I'm warming to this drama as the weeks go by and love the way Nicola Walker speaks to us through the camera lens - makes me smile. Her character is flawed, caring and calm which I enjoy - the querkiness appeals to me. I also look forward to the ten minutes of solving the case at the end. Everything tidied up nicely til the next episode.

Can't stop laughing out loud at the ridiculous mum, dad and daughter disposing of the body in a lake. And the body floating afterwards. Sorry, am I not supposed to?

Tarinto was far too self-indulgent here and the movie was too long. I only persevered as I knew of the Sharon Tate murder by Charles Manson's followers and wondered how he would handle it - he didn't! Very disappointing ☹️

Sorry to disagree with everyone on here, but I don't get it. I don't believe the connection or any chemistry between these two. I really wanted to but the over complicated story, the overloading of characters and the gap in screening has so put me off what should have been excellent given its pedigree.

Absolutely wonderful drama. I binge-watched it yesterday and as a result became totally immersed in it. Ruth Wilson - Wow!!! A raw and harrowing depiction of the awful atrocities inflicted on unmarried mothers in our recent history, for which those responsible and those that knew, should hang their heads in shame.
