The Cave highlights the total lack of humanity vs humanity’s strength all in one. I cannot shake the images of the trauma and devastation inflicted upon the Syrian people by their own government and its Russian ally.
This documentary is extremely difficult to watch. I cried so much that I could barely see the atrocities happening on tv, but could clearly hear the mother screaming in despair for her murdered son or the continuous sound of warplanes bombing the men, women and children below.
It’s incredible to see the film crew and medical staff putting their lives at risk every second they stay back to record and help all those impacted. Working in those conditions, with barely any rest or food to eat. Can’t fathom having to bare witness to all the horror and still pushing through to get the job done.
The Cave is definitely a 5 star rated documentary and not for the faint-hearted.
