I am the biggest horror movie fan. This was not horror, it was just gore. Literally just gore. I have never had a problem with gore up until this movie. Even last movie I could handle, but I couldn’t do this one. The incredibly small plot that was added to the gore-fest was not worth it. The creator of this is sick.

The only criticism I have of this movie is that it all happened in one night. Theres absolutely no way in hell this is all happening within a single night lol but I think they thought they could get away with it if they kept skipping through the stuff that should’ve taken longer than it did. Other than that, I thought the acting was great from all the characters, plot was interesting enough, cinematic shots were good, use of audio was good, and I actually liked the ending. (Spoilers ahead now) Another reviewer mentioned they didn’t like or understand why the kid changed his mind, and it’s because he’s a kid. He was scared. I think the kid was phenomenal in his acting, and the movie had a realistic outcome for the situation. This was a good movie, I just wish there were more explanation but there’s only so much you can do in an hour and a half

Lol at the blatant misinformation spread in this film. I genuinely cannot fathom how anyone could take this seriously. If you truly want to learn more, look up abortion procedures and actual factual information instead of taking away anything from this garbage. So many of the things in this movie not only do not happen but are created solely to scare others into the direction of anti-choice through misinformation. Truly, laughable.

I don’t know which part was my favorite: the 3/4 of the movie that was essentially just them falling out of kayaks, the terrible paddling that the directors couldn’t even bother to make it seem like there was any sort of urgency (also they were paddling, at most, 6 inches of water each stroke lol)- basically makes you root for the shark to just eat them already, or the scene where the terribly CGI’d shark rams into the boat and the girl that gets knocked out somehow spawns thirty feet away from the boat lol

Ending could’ve been better. I was kind of cheering for the villain ngl she was done wrong the entire movie

You know exactly who all the one stars are from. Loved this movie. Watched it with my mom and sisters, it made me cry my eyes out lol. Love them so much, and loved the movie

Hated everyone but the mom. Her daughter and husband were literally so unbearably annoying and/or frustrating to deal with.

(Spoilers, obviously) So tired of this. I don't know why I expected a happy ending when most movies about lesbians, at least that I've seen, end with one of the women staying with a man or one of the women dying. I get it's the 1800's. I understand that fully. That doesn't make it any less frustrating, considering it's still a fictional movie and could have a happy ending should the writers and directors want it to be. But of course, not this time. Just annoyed I wasted an hour and a half of my life watching this when I could've watched any other lesbian-centered movies in this time period and come to the exact same conclusion.

Completely ruined the game with the 2021 update. So ridiculously stupid. You can't buy any membership, can't buy gems, meaning ANYONE who didn't already have a membership in Nov. 2020 can't put stuff on the marketplace or gain any of the multiple other benefits of having a membership. Can't believe the laziness of the devs.

An incredibly lovely show. I watched this before I watched Hill House, so I didn't go in expecting much. However what I was met with was a beautiful love story - not a ghost story - between two women who found comfort with each other in difficult moments. I've read a lot of the negative reviews, and a majority of them are constantly comparing this with Hill House, so I highly recommend you don't expect it to be Hill House 2.0. The worst thing I can think of in regards to TV shows is when they are compared to their predecessor even though they are both entirely different shows with different plots of their own. It's truly disappointing watching all these people downplay the beauty of this story because it "didn't hold water to Hill House". Just enjoy it for the separate show it is, not what it isn't.
