It's one of those movies where, once you've watched it, you know you never need to see it again. The plot is really disjointed and it's hard to follow any single theme throughout, because it's just not there. Other reviews are correct - there's a lot of animal cruelty depicted, and, contrasted with the first movie, makes it hard to believe it's even the same characters.
I mean, there are some bright spots where you think the whole movie could turn around, but it just leads to other heartbreaks and tragedy, leaving you with an icky feeling by the end of the movie, even though it ends "happily."
I wouldn't watch it with anybody under the age of 18 - it's definitely *not* a kids movie. I don't know how they could have taken such a wonderful storyline and characters from the first movie and twisted it into this. Makes me glad there wasn't a third movie.
