Like many others, I'm a big fan of Jodi Piccoult but this didn't even feel like her work. After looking for reviews in hope that it gets better, my decision to give up not quite half way through seems like a good idea. The Egyptology and physics stuff is such a drag, the characters are hard to like, and I'm just not drawn into it at all. I feel like the death doula is an interesting aspect and that provides a more interesting read than the main storyline. Still a big fan and will continue to read her other works, this one just didn't sing to me.
