Not the perfect movie but it was visually stunning and sets the stage for more fun times, I don't really care what others have said about the story being paper thin because essentially it's taking and grabbing from multiple games, most of them being Bowser kidnaps Peach for Whatever reason, Odyssey he wanted to marry her, which also had mayor Paulina, most power ups are found in every game, obviously mario kart was included and so was super mario galaxy and 64, I dunno I feel like complaining about a lack of plot when most of the games boil down to Bowser stealing peach or in on way or another being an inconvenience to Mario is kind of petulant? Just say you're mad about the Voice of Mario and move on. Sure it's probably a cash grab but it was well animated you could tell this was made by a studio who loves their craft and worked with nintendo to make it shine.

In my heart of hearts I want to give this a 5/5, I do. I enjoy the cute style, cultivating your flock and such, it's a cute intermingling RPG/Slice of life, which is great when you're just playing it casually. However, there are issues with the game, with it freezing after multiple rituals, freezing during combat and just other general errors/issues that this game has faced since launch (But also improved upon), Granted it's created by a smaller game company I'd expect it to have some issues but still, I paid for a game, I kind of want it to run a little better than this. That being said, this is a company that is also listening to it's fans and is actively working towards bettering the game, it may take some time but I'm sure it'll run smoothly soon enough. Also Satanic panic comments about this game are boring, if you're worried about it influencing your child, be a better parent, monitor what they do. There are parental controls and other measure to take rather than lump the blame on the game.
