Seems average. I mean it’s a good game it has its own theme which is good. It’s sort of, read dead redemption theme with wilderness and horse riding coupled with resident evil style shooting and metal gear solid stealth radars which gives this game its unique standpoint - but it’s not better than any of these games necessarily. It’s definitely “good” but not 9/10. Mind you I’m early stages of the game but that’s my position at the time of speaking. The story is progressing nicely but there’s nothing really to write home about. It’s just another good game but it’s fan base is def a specific niche fan base. It’s not a hall of famer which is the most contentious thing (and truthful) thing I can say. The critics will say some form of new ground has been broken with this game but really, there isn’t. It’s worth a punt if you’re feeling bored, but it’s not in a franchise class of the likes of Asassins creed, metal gear solid or red dead redemption. It certainly has the potential to… but it just doesn’t have the wow factor - just a pleasant blend of game mechanics which I credit and a forgettable story line that’s very lgbtq friendly - maybe that’s the ground breaking part. It worth it because it def a level above resident evil with more realistic settings but def overhyped. It’s not joining CoD, MGS, RDR, AC, GTA in history making games. It’s a good bite at the cherry though. If you believe the critics scores, you’ll be left underwhelmed. If you’re curious, you’ll love it, and leave it to collect dust. What more can I say, there’s a lot of hype in the world and this is just another one of those plastic trophies.
