I don't get why this movie flopped.
If it was because of the setting in the fictional city of Khwaish, then people don't really deserve nice things. The movie was way ahead of it's time. VFX, transitions, plot, direction, camera angles.
Everything was so nice!
And the songs, uff, love them!
I watched it again because this was a movie that was released in my childhood and now that I have watched it again, properly, I can see myself rewatching it everytime I am down.
The movie has jokes, which are repititive but makes you laugh or smile every time you hear them.
Yes, I agree that the bullying topic was sensitive and shouldn't have been handled like that, in a funny way, but it is a commercial film.
The angst could've been a little more dramatic but then I guess the time limit could've been a issue.
But I especially loved those scenes when Aladin finally spoke up in front Qasim and the climax scene really.
If this movie would've released in Hollywood, people would've celebrated it then.
People are allowed to agree and disagree but this is my opinion, this movie deserved more than it got.
