CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!
I think the only things I liked about 'The Fall Guy' were Jean Claude (the literal dog), Tom Ryder's post it notes and the song 'I Was Made For Lovin You' by Kiss.
I did appreciate the theme of the movie and was definitely impressed by the stunts - but I feel like that's all it was. Gosling's acting was good but the dialogues made me cringe (not in a good way). But I was most disappointed with Emily Blunt's acting as well as her character. I had very high hopes for the cast, but it was overall very forced. The only scenes that seemed genuine were Colt's expressions as he was being dowsed with gasoline.
Also, it may just be me, but the entire plan of Colt and Jody making Ryder reveal the truth was super weird?? Like did all those stuntmen who rallied with them and the pyrotechnicians know what was going on and that Colt was innocent? Maybe I'm trying to rationalize it too much, but it made absolutely no sense to me.
I want to end on a good note by saying that I enjoyed the action parts of this film and did find it kinda funny, but everything else made no sense to me.
