I very much enjoyed the book, of all commenters fareed seems to track my general thoughts about society and politics. The book helped me tease out my thoughts more precisely. It is a great read. If I had any criticism is that he gives to much credit specifically to trump around “right and populist” ideology (except his exploitation of it in election politics) because trump has no ideology. He is too soft on Biden, as if he understands the center, because he has done nothing but promote the lefts theories and disruption that comes with it. He should have left the reader to determine who is Napoleon and who is Robespierre as many still search for a Lafayette. In that sense the book offers no solution (and not intended too) solve our current politics. It explains it and perhaps provides a bit of hope that it will eventually right itself.
