I could only get 3/8 of the way through. It started out very interesting, with a creative plot and unique characters. But then it just stalled into the mundane, with awful characters that I couldn't stand. Theo's only friend is a druggie, and each day consumes them with getting stoned or drunk. His friend's dad brutally physically abuses the friend regularly. Theo's dad is a repulsive, sneaky, self centered, looser that can't be trusted. Theo's step-mom is mean, controlling, and downright stupid. Ugh. It drags on and on, loses all excitement it had in the beginning. I kept going, hoping for something interesting to happen and for the story to gain momentum again. After reading the reviews, I understand that will not happen, so that's when I finally put it down.
