This may not have been the best movie out there, but there is absolutely no doubt that this is a masterpiece of a film. DreamWorks (Not Disney) made a beautiful film back 11 years ago with the original, but completely topped off expectations with releasing this film. It doesn't have too much in common nor to do with the first film, but apart from that, it is pretty damn good.
There is a decent amount of adult humour, fighting, violence, and a sort of complex story, which may not be the best for kids under 10 or so, but they didn't make this masterpiece for kids. 11 years ago the movies could be watched by 5, 6, and 7 year old's, and they are just holding their same people, 11 years later. The 5, 6, and 7 year old's who watched the old movie, have grown up to 16, 17, and 18 years old, which seemed like DreamWorks's target audience.
Simply put, there were scenes that gave me goosebumps (scenes with death), scenes that felt real and a lot of this movie had such minor details put into it that makes it much better. I would say 9.5/10, maybe a 10/10.
