Duran Duran finally decided back to their original sound and created this future past 13 track album. There are 3 new songs (Black Moonlight, Danse Macabre and Confession in the Afterlife). Other than that, those 3 new songs, rest of the album features covers other band's and new versions of their own songs. Duran Duran's 2023 halloween album starts with "Rio" era sounding "Night Boat" or "(Waiting for The) Nightboat" (6th track from their 1981 debut album "Duran Duran"). 2nd song is a new song. "Black Moonlight" has Michael Jackson's "Thriller" style sound effects. 3rd song is from their 1993 album "Wedding Album" named "Love Voodoo" renamed "Love Voudou" for this album. "Bury a Friend" is a 10th track of Billie Eilish's 2019 album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" and Duran Duran made a cover of it as 4th track. French disco drummer, composer, record producer Marc Cerrone's famous Supernature (1977) is 5th song of the album. "Danse Macabre" is the 6th song of the album with eerie synths. 7th song is from their 1983 song "Union of the Snake"s B Side "Secret Oktober" renamed "Secret Oktober 31st" for this album with new arrangements. The Specials's 1981 song "Ghost Town" resung by Simon Le Bon successfully as 8th track. Duran Duran somehow decided to put one of Rolling Stones's song to this halloween album and they end up with their 1966 song "Paint It Black". Rick James's 1981 song "Super Lonely Freak" is 10th song of the album. Siouxsie and the Banshees's 1981 song "Spellbound" is 11th song. Talking Heads's 1977 song "Psycho Killer" Here comes the last song of the album: "Confession In The Afterlife". This new Duran Duran song is the best new song I think other than "Black "Moonlight" and "Danse Macabre". Gothic, soft industrial, pop, disco new Duran Duran album deserves 10 out of 10. You'll get spooky zombie sounds and effects. Treat or trick "Danse Macabre" album's sound and arrangements are fantastic. Thank you Duran Duran. We have been waiting this since decades.
