I've read this book and was somewhat disappointed.
There are pages and pages of rambling non poetry, to be honest aimed at creating the illusion of a higher being.
The descriptions of gaining 6 months basic training as a medic and then outsmarting doctors, assisting in theatre, major trauma interventions in a hospital in Wales are almost laughable.
This book was released in 2012, and the author describes going back to Northern Ireland where he is almost a wanted man. Nothing could be further from the truth. The war ended in 1994 and while occasional incidents may occur it is recognised as being the safest part of the UK.
It is interesting however where the author describes, in some detail an event of state sponsored murder where the military decided to kill a man rather than the police make an arrest. Perhaps operation Kenova may interview the author later.
Typical of ex special forces who provide no real insight, seek unmerited justification for murder and sympathy
