Loved the cultural connections made through visual imagery and the use of cinematography to bring to the screen a myriad of metaphorical settings to deliver the age-old story of love, relationships and the exploration of self -love through the unreserved lens of JLO - producer, writer, director and choreographer.
Love the subliminally woven messages, albeit scripted parts, from the cheering section of the zodiac gods and goddesses, some of whom are on their own personal journeys to be open to the vulnerabilities of believing in love everlasting.
The parallels made to JLO's experiences (most of which were played out in the media) are clear and unapologetic. So refreshing to see the links made to her songs on her upcoming album. Well done for using the cinematic platform to promote one's artistic yet personal truths about the journey to find love.
Although not a fan of the music yet, I did enjoy the interpretation of the internal struggles represented throughout each section in song and dance, embracing human fear, anguish, anxiety being overcome to find love.
I found this artistic creation levelled up from Rhianna's last Fenty Fashion show extravaganza (now that was another unique artistic creation). Bravo JLO for being willing to examine and explore your personal experiences, represent them on your own terms and provide insight into your artistic passions.
