Thank goodness for wise people like Tzain and Mama Ogba. Otherwise, this book and the characters' growing pains would be senseless and ridiculous. Shout out to Roen too. I enjoyed watching his character develop. He was refreshing.
I hate the route the relationships went in this sequal. I think that's why I loved the booked. The author forced readers to follow the winding storyline making the line between good and evil, right and wrong blur; reminding us all that war is never simple and sacrifices are inevitable. (The savior complex that can be poisonous and often used to make people feel good about their wrongful actions.) Shockingly, not many characters are righteous and carry blood on their hands of some sort.
