Bob Bob

It was unfaithful to the original novel. I read it before I watched the movie and the movie goes so far off script it was kind of sad. The book was amazing but the movie was okay. The art was good but everything else went downhill from the beginning. Mild spoilers: There was no connect with the island animals till the end of the movie so I did not feel anything in the climax. Instead of the animals coming together to raise the gosling it was just the robot and the fox (which never appeared in the novel and added nothing to the plot 😞). I enjoyed how the plot unfolded in the book but here it was just predictable and boring. I know foreshadowing is important but thye definitely overdid it. Even the main characters were not written with depth and the heavy topic of natural selection was vague and played down. The relationship with the robot and the gosling was underwhelming and did not occur in the book which made it unnecessary in the movie and cringe to watch. The animals acted too human for me :( It has so much potential but I probably won't be watching it again.
