wonderful, A new Austen adaptation ! Then I saw the trailers, however I wasn't prepared for how absolutely awful it truely is. I now know it's actually a Mystery .. Who Murdered Jane Austen's Anne Elliot ? Answer- Netflix did! Looks like the book plus the actual main characters traits was thrown off the Cobb at Lyme Regis. The meek down trodden but clever Anne has been transformed into a spice girl wannabe , and Captain Wentworth looks about as Seaworthy as a pedalo. The single star is for Richard E Grant as Sir Walter Elliot at least stays true to the book as the pompous snob he is.🤞 What an absolute missed opportunity, The recent Taylor-Joy / Johnny Flynn Emma was blissful , up to date whilst staying faithful to the book. The fact that her 6 complete novels are so brilliant we put her on a banknote ,and this her last 'described as her most perfect', the producers would have bothered to use any of it. ...
