The critics seem to have slated this film but I thought it was thought provoking & very touching. It explores how we deal with grief in a gentle uplifting way. The acting is understated but high quality as you would expect with such a wonderful cast. I certainly know the kind of man who would shut down in the way Will Smith’s character does in order to process his daughter’s death.
It’s a reminder to look for the collateral beauty in every tragedy. It’s always there & I can’t help thinking the film critics don’t really get it.
