Alistair Sim gives the absolute best performance of all the versions of this story. Just watch & you'll see what I mean. The transformation he portrays of Scrooge before the visits of the ghosts and after is a marvel to watch.
I have watched this version for at least the last 50 years and I've seen all the rest this is definitely my favorite
