I read the book and loved it. But I thought the movie fell short by not explaining how she managed to pull it off. This was the climax of the book and the fact that the movie didn’t address it left me feeling like it was not accurate portrayal of the book.. If you’re into a portrayal of young love, you will be intrigued. But I found it to be longer than it needed to be, and somewhat drawn out.

One of the best series I’ve seen in a long time!

I wasn’t sure at first, but loved this movie. The story was compelling, and Hawke played the part perfectly. Makes a strong argument for prison reform!
