Emily Sweat

I loved the trilogy and was excited to see how the games and Snow came to be, but I ended up being disappointed by the novel. The most significant issue I had was with how different the two time periods felt. This story seemed like it was written in a completely different universe. I realize the games had to develop and did not just appear out of thin air, but I find the whole “treated like animals and thrown in a cage without food” thing kind of hard to believe in respect to the previous novels. I believe this could have been an awesome storyline, but I think more detail and thought needed to be put into creating it.
